Speed Week 2022

ARE YOU BC'S FASTEST SKATER?

Speed Week challenges individuals throughout the province to race against the clock to claim the title of BC’s Fastest Skater.

October 7-16, 2022

Using a format similar to that used by the NHL Skills Competition, skaters race against the clock. Individual skaters will complete one lap of the track to claim the fastest time. Skaters will compete in their local community during Speed Week and their times will be compared against the times of skaters from across BC. Results will be published here to crown the champions in the following categories:

3 – 5 years of age             13 – 15 years of age (separate for males or females)

6 – 9 years of age             16 – 18 years of age (separate categories for males or females)

10 – 12 years of age         19+ years of age (separate categories for males or females)

In order to participate you will need hockey or figure skates and a helmet which can be rented right at a Speed Week location. You will also be required to wear your own hockey gloves or borrow cut proof gloves at a Speed Week location.

All funds raised will be help kids participate in sport through KidSport!
